All About College In California
California is one of the largest states in the country, and has some of the most diverse opportunities. The colleges in California run the gamut from some of the most prestigious universities in the world to some very crackpot institution. There are colleges and universities in California of every persuasion, from the prestigious UC system to colleges of natural medicine, to community colleges, to some very elite private schools. No matter what you are looking for, you should be able to find a college in California that fits your needs.
If you're going to college in California, especially if you're a resident, you should consider looking at the University of California system. The UC system, you see, is not only one of the best in the world, but also one of the most affordable if you are a native California residents. The fact is that every UC College in California used to be free of charge if you were a resident of the state. This was a great advantage. It brought all kinds of highly intelligent, educated people to California, and provided education to people who would not be able to afford it otherwise.
Nowadays, of course, there is not a single college in California that is free. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of grants if you want to go to school in California. Many of the colleges in California cater to very alternative tastes. California is a center of natural medicine, sorry if you are interested in holistic healing or naturopathy, it is a perfect place to go. There are even Christian colleges in California, although the state as a whole is not known for its religious zeal.
No matter what kind of education you wish to get, California is a great place to find it. Not only will you be able to find a college in California that fits your needs, but you will be in California! If you have not visited, you can't possibly know what this means. It is one of the most beautiful, varied places on earth. The people are nice, the climate is liberal, and the seaside is beautiful. Let's face it, college is about partying as much as it is about education. If you go to college in California, you will have ample opportunity to do both. Although the locations of some California universities are better than others, most of them are within a day's drive of the seashore. Having the chance to look at the ocean makes it all worthwhile.
