Internet College - Pros And Cons
Why do you want to get a college degree? This is something ever person should ask his/herself before trudging off to a University. Surely there is a plan behind your desire to acquire that diploma. Is it based on what you've been told time and time again by your parents? Or, does it have to do with your current place of employment. Working minimum wage jobs can certainly put you on the college path. Well, lucky for you, there are additional routes to that much-desired degree. The campus scene is not the be-all end-all to college anymore. You may not even have to see a University to get your hands on that bachelor's degree. Are you prepared for Internet college? This is the way of the future.
At first I hated the idea of Internet college! What in the world could this concept even mean? But, then it hit me. Clearly the world is evolving and I have to get over it. I'm not sure if it's the lack of campus, buildings, and classrooms that annoyed me, or the fact that I missed out on Internet college. Either way, I did finally get over it. Actually if I had to go back to college right now, I would have to choose the traditional route over Internet college. Hey, college life is a blast! I enjoyed the atmosphere. It simply wouldn't be the same sitting behind a computer screen and keyboard. And if you went there, then you definitely know what I'm talking about. On the other hand, I've known a few people, who were past the college phase by many years, but were also sadly stuck in a field they didn't enjoy. Now, as opposed to quitting their current jobs and letting their kids starve, they could easily choose an Internet college alternative. This way they could get their education at the same time. No changes would have to be made in their daily routine with kids and work.
I have one whopping question about Internet college. What about the classroom scene? I am so used to professors and lectures. I can't fathom college life without those key elements. I guess one downside to Internet college would be its lack of in-person interaction. This could be bad for some students who require more attention.
